New place for enlightening ideas
Design development, workshop and showroom of Licht im Raum
White, minimalist and straightforward, the new Dinnebier Licht factory presents itself in the best Bauhaus style. Since last September, the well-coordinated team of interior architects, lighting planners, metalworkers, designers and engineers has been working at Piepersberg in Solingen. "We are delighted that we have been able to move into a holistic manufacturing facility in new premises for our exclusive 'Licht im Raum' collection," says Daniel Klages. For 25 years, he and Jule Dinnebier have been developing and creating their own luminaires under the "Licht im Raum" brand. In addition to the classics Ocular, Dione, Stilio, White Moons and Glas Moons, the latest additions to the family are Maylily and Big Moons.
The entire technical planning of the new building was carried out by the Dinnebier Licht team. Light-flooded, spacious studios and workshops provide optimal working conditions for the company's main focus - professional lighting design and the manufacture of branded products from Licht im Raum. In new surroundings, a team carries out the planning of public and private construction projects as well as the lighting of historic buildings and churches. A completely new layout was also developed for the workshop together with the workshop management - with the aim and result that all work processes, from product design to semi-finished product production and assembly, are perfectly coordinated.
"We are particularly proud of our large photovoltaic system on the roof," says Jule Dinnebier, adding that it generates more energy than is used in the building. Thanks to the new intelligent structure of the work areas, manual production and final assembly are clearly separated from each other. In addition, the owners can fully meet their company's sustainability goals: ecologically and socially, in terms of technology and design Made in Solingen, Germany. The manufactory is rounded off by the elegant showroom, where the entire collection is presented and offered as part of a factory outlet. The team is looking forward to welcoming visitors to their new premises. They are also looking forward to showing interested parties how the "Licht im Raum" story has developed over the past 60 years - and where the journey will take them in the future.
