The interior design for this Neuss agency brings the brand to life through spatial design
Every brand needs a home where its values and vision truly shine. The owner of marketing agency "Beratbar" found exactly that in a historic building in Neuss's Zollhafen district. The vision: a sprawling first-floor open-space office designed to fuel creative collaboration—complete with a bar, lounge, and flexible conference space that could also serve external clients for presentations, workshops, and events.
Interior designer Jutta Hillen from Neuss crafted a distinctive brand architecture that merges the industrial harbor setting with Alpine lodge warmth—think cozy mountain hut meets contemporary workspace. Authenticity was paramount: no forced aesthetics. Across 300 m² of thoughtfully designed space, reclaimed timber walls wrap the interiors in natural warmth and tactile appeal, while dramatic black ceilings and accent walls intensify the atmosphere and frame striking views of the urban harbor below. The result feels both raw and refined—a carefully curated environment that inspires collaborative work.
Custom-designed furnishings blend Alpine and Rhineland materials: long wooden planks float atop rough logs to form a sculptural conference table, complemented by natural stone and hides. Recessed LED lighting and subtly positioned ceiling fixtures add warmth, while an ethanol fireplace anchors the meeting room's front wall. Beneath its rugged aesthetic lies sophisticated technology: iPad-controlled Gira lighting systems, integrated projectors and screens, premium audio, and a smart bus system manage all technical elements seamlessly—ensuring the space functions as flawlessly as it feels.
