Urban Insights Hamburg
Launch event exploring Hamburg's urban development and real estate landscape on January 15, 2026
On January 15, 2026, InterACT – the construction and real estate industry network – and CUBE Magazine launch a new event series in Hamburg: Urban Insights. Our first installment focuses on Hamburg's innovation parks: their evolution, planned developments, and the opportunities they present for project developers, planners, and industry professionals.
According to the European Innovation Scoreboard, Hamburg ranks among Europe's leading innovation hubs and has demonstrated the strongest growth trajectory of any German region since 2017. Beyond HafenCity – which has redefined urban commercial and residential development – the city is now catalyzing growth across additional districts.
Innovation parks are now taking shape in Altona, Bergedorf, Finkenwerder, and Harburg. These districts will serve as hubs for companies in business, research, and technology – anchoring value creation, innovation, and sustainable urban development. We'll examine long-term planning strategies, current implementation progress, and the opportunities these developments create for construction and real estate professionals.
The "Urban Insights Hamburg" series examines these topics through the lens of urban development and real estate strategy. Hamburg Invest GmbH representatives will share expert perspectives on the innovation parks' strategic direction. Following presentations, the event continues with structured networking and professional exchange.
The "Urban Insights" series brings together project developers, planners, architects, and construction industry leaders to explore the critical questions shaping urban development today.
When: Thursday, January 15, 2026, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Sturmfreie Bude (Penthouse), Flora-Neumann-Straße 6, 20357 Hamburg
This event is fully booked.
