On January 15, 2026, InterACT, the network for the construction and real estate industry, and CUBE Magazine are launching a new event series in Hamburg: Urban Insights. The inaugural event focuses on Hamburg's innovation parks—exploring how these locations are developing, what specific projects are planned, and what opportunities emerge for project development, planning, and the construction and real estate sector.

According to the European Innovation Scoreboard, Hamburg ranks among Europe's leading innovation hubs and has demonstrated the strongest positive development of all German regions since 2017. Beyond HafenCity, which has set benchmarks for urban business and residential districts in recent years, additional neighborhoods are now coming into focus for development.

New innovation parks are currently being established in Altona, Bergedorf, Finkenwerder, and Harburg. These areas are designed to provide space for enterprises in business, research, and technology, and to serve as central hubs for value creation, innovation, and sustainable urban development. Central to these efforts are questions about long-term planning, current implementation status, and the potential for the construction and real estate sector.

Through the "Urban Insights Hamburg" event series, these topics are examined from the perspective of urban development and the real estate industry. Representatives from Hamburg Invest GmbH will provide expert insights on the future direction of the innovation parks. The event concludes with an opportunity for professional exchange and networking.
