First collaborative design festival on 13 July at Lake Chiemsee

Initiated by furniture manufacturer Nils Holger Moormann and curated by Haus Otto, the collaborative design festival "Salone di Aschau" will take place for the first time in Aschau im Chiemgau on Saturday, 13 July 2024, from 3 p.m. until open end. It is at once an artistic happening, a design exhibition and a place of exchange, right at the foot of the Alps. The name of the event is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the famous furniture fair in Milan. Participants include Bottone, Dante – Goods and Bads, Farm Group (Hannah Kuhlmann, Haus Otto, Johanna Seelemann, Lukas Marstaller & Oliver-Selim Boualam, Studio Œ), HFBK Hamburg, Jerszy Seymour, Loehr, Mono, Sianza (Radio 80000) and Tecta.
At the "Salone di Aschau", design labels, researchers, designers and artists openly and playfully search for alternative exhibition formats and content. On display are experimental positions, previously unpublished prototypes, collectibles and products that deal with flaws, the unusual or the bizarre. Various workshops and discussion formats also offer an open-ended and informal space for exchange between all guests and create a collaborative setting, accompanied by music and snacks. For example, there will be a tea ceremony with partner Mono and a "search for needles in a haystack" with designer Hannah Kuhlmann.
