A space for dialogue, discovery, and inspiration
Artemide, Ege Carpets, and Gabriel create co-branded environments
With IDX – Your Stage, premium manufacturers Artemide, Ege Carpets, and Gabriel have created atmospheric co-branding spaces in two cities: Munich and Hamburg. Designed by Hamburg-based studio JOI-Design, these venues welcome a diverse audience – from designers and architects to retailers, suppliers, manufacturers, and end users. The name itself tells the story: "ID" represents interior design, identity, and idea, while "X" stands for experience, exhibition, example, and exchange.
At the heart of each IDX location stands a striking stage—ideal for lectures, panel discussions, performances, or mock-up displays when separated by a curtain. Three additional zones complete the experience: the "lounge" offers a relaxed setting for conversation over coffee or wine; the "workshop" accommodates meetings, presentations, and collaborative activities; and the "workplace" provides dedicated stations for the three manufacturers' teams. Each brand brings distinctive expertise to the space without overwhelming it. Ege Carpets develops carpet and spatial solutions that honor both individual needs and optimal use of the environment. Artemide, a pioneer in contemporary lighting design, combines bold aesthetics with visionary technology and traditional craftsmanship. Gabriel specializes in upholstery fabrics that marry beauty with performance, elevating furniture design. Together, these three brands create a powerful synergy that enriches any project.
"Architecture creates connection. Through IDX, we wanted to build an adaptable gathering place—one that fosters dialogue and collaboration while showcasing our products and solutions in real contexts," explains Mathias Quinkert, Managing Director of Ege Carpets. Gabriel's Managing Director Ole Fomsgaard emphasizes the manufacturers' shared commitment to sustainability as a driver of quality living and working: "The thoughtful interior design draws on sustainable materials and recycled, reusable resources—reflecting not just Gabriel's circular philosophy, but embodying what all three brands stand for." Steffen Salinger, Managing Director of Artemide Germany, adds: "IDX represents an innovative approach to sales that meets today's market realities. We're reimagining how we connect with customers and gaining immense value from our partners' perspectives, experience, and capabilities. These inspiring spaces bring us closer to the market in ways that matter in our rapidly evolving industry."
