"Passagen 2024": Design Festival Welcomes You

From January 12–18, discover design up close at over 150 locations across the city

Coinciding with imm cologne, the Passagen design festival once again sets the stage for the international design season. From January 12–18, 2024, explore Cologne's creative districts across over 150 venues—including the Moebel Compagnie showroom, joined this year by Georg Bechter Licht from Vorarlberg. For one week, Cologne becomes a living canvas where design, atmosphere, and inspiration converge. Passagen showcases design in its fullest expression—where architecture and interior design intersect within the city's urban fabric. The festival addresses today's pressing design imperatives: sustainability, aesthetics, and contemporary culture—presented as a thoughtful response to our times.

The preview days on Friday, January 12, and Saturday, January 13, offer an exciting first glimpse of the expansive "Passagen 2024" program. This opening weekend sets the stage for a week brimming with innovation and aesthetic excellence. Though some retailers may close on Sunday, major exhibitions like the Designers Fair and Designers Tower remain open, inviting you to explore.

The "Cartes Blanches" warrant particular attention: this curated program spotlights Cologne's emerging design voices and invites discovery of today's creative currents. Passagen 2024 delivers far more than established names—it's a compelling gateway to the next generation of design talent.
