Houses of the Year 2024: Call for Entries
Houses of the Year 2024: Call for Entries
Callwey Verlag is proud to announce the 14th edition of its prestigious "Houses of the Year" competition, seeking the world's finest 50 single-family homes. Winning projects showcase exceptional architectural quality—a harmony of form, spatial design, and materiality that feels both distinctive and complete. Each home is thoughtfully designed around its inhabitants' needs and engages meaningfully with its surrounding landscape, whether urban or rural.
We invite you to submit one or more house projects to this year's "Houses of the Year 2024" competition. Registration is free, with a submission fee of €390 (plus VAT) due only when you submit your project. Submit a second project and receive a 50% discount on the entry fee. Submissions close on 16 February 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
The competition is open to architects who authored the submitted projects, whether new construction or renovation. Eligible homes must have been completed after 1 January 2021 and never been featured in a published book. All typologies are welcome—timber, concrete, or brick construction; compact homes or generous villas; budget-conscious designs; energy-efficient builds; conversions and renovations; second homes; and multi-generational living arrangements.
