DAM Prize 2026
Shortlist announced
From approximately 100 nominations, the jury has selected 21 projects for the DAM Prize 2026 shortlist. The range spans education and social infrastructure, residential and workspace design, cultural projects, and—notably—substantial adaptive reuse and renovation work.
Since 2007, the DAM Prize for Architecture has annually recognized outstanding buildings across Germany. In 2026, the German Architecture Museum (DAM) will present the award for the tenth time in partnership with JUNG. The selection process unfolds across multiple jury stages.
Each January, the award ceremony, winner announcement, and exhibition opening take place at the German Architecture Museum in Frankfurt am Main. Coinciding with this, the German Architecture Yearbook is released, featuring curated essays on the winning project, finalists, and shortlisted buildings by distinguished authors. The publication also includes three additional pieces on exceptional works by German architects internationally. Contemporary architectural essays round out the year's comprehensive documentation.
