"Best Workspaces Award 2025" – Recognizing Excellence in Workspace Design

First Immune Office Recognized

Heads, Germany's pioneering immune office, has claimed the prestigious Best Workspaces Award 2025. The Rock Capital Group's office project in Aschheim near Munich is now recognized among the world's leading office developments of 2025.

Creating an office complex ready for occupancy requires years of meticulous planning and construction. When that vision ultimately captivates people worldwide, every effort proves worthwhile. Since breaking ground five years ago, Heads has not only assembled an international roster of tenants—it has already earned four prestigious awards, including the Best Workspaces Award 2025. As Andreas Wißmeier, Managing Director of Rock Capital Group, explains: "This award validates our vision: a space that delivers exceptional quality of life while thoughtfully addressing the human dimensions of work. It's work-life fusion done right—exactly what forward-thinking companies and their employees seek. A ten-member jury of industry experts has now recognized Heads as one of the year's top projects."

The Best Workspaces Award represents the first international architecture prize dedicated to intelligent work environments. Launched in 2020, this year marks its fourth edition—with ten acclaimed architects, scientists, and industry leaders evaluating submissions against rigorous standards including design, innovation, and future-readiness. Heads impressed the jury with cutting-edge technology and visionary interior design developed alongside renowned firms Ippolito Fleitz and Bargtied Design. Rock Capital's creation features a sophisticated high-tech ventilation and hygiene system, 1,200 plants integrated throughout its green atriums, 14 rooftop terraces, an on-site restaurant called Hungry Heads, and an in-house daycare—together defining what tomorrow's workplace looks like today.

Heads Office has garnered additional accolades, including the iF Design Award 2025 for Interior Architecture, the Real Estate Architecture Award 2024 for Interior Design, and the German Design Award 2025 for Excellent Architecture – Conceptual Architecture. Across its 41,800 square metres, the property now houses a prestigious roster of tenants: Swedish firm Essity, Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring S.A. (German branch), US-based Bourns Electronics and Molex Germany, British chipmaker ARM, Bel Brands Deutschland GmbH, and Meierhofer AG, a leading innovator in digital patient care solutions.

Heads is a Rock Capital Group development in Aschheim-Dornach near Munich. Originally conceived as Wirecard's headquarters, it has evolved into Germany's first Immune Office. Built in response to workplace contamination concerns, this four-story complex features a sophisticated high-tech ventilation and hygiene system: UV-C air sterilization, self-opening doors, and contamination-free heat recovery all work together to minimize viral exposure for occupants. Beyond health-focused design, Heads offers an intuitive app, a distinctive restaurant, onsite childcare, up to 760 electric vehicle charging stations, 14 rooftop terraces, and lush indoor greenery that brings tropical vitality to Aschheim. This New Work concept places occupants—and their wellbeing—at the center. The tenant roster reflects this inclusive vision: Swedish company Essity, Crédit Agricole (France), Bourns Electronics, Molex Infor, British chip manufacturer ARM, Bel Brands (France), and Meierhofer AG, a leading German digital patient care solution provider, all call Heads home.
