Since 2020, the Bavarian branch of the Association of German Landscape Architects (bdla) has awarded the Bavarian Landscape Architecture Prize biennially. The competition celebrates projects and plans in Bavaria that demonstrate innovative and sustainable outdoor and landscape spaces of exceptional quality—whether newly created or thoughtfully restored. In keeping with its mission to nurture the next generation, the bdla Bavaria expressly encouraged young practitioners to participate and bring their professional ideals and visions to the competition.

The expert jury has now selected the following nominees for the shortlist of the 2024 Bavarian Landscape Architecture Prize:
