Modern and inviting
Commerzbank's head office in Essen's city center has been given a fresh interior design
Commerzbank has been represented in Essen for 118 years. Its main location in Lindenallee now shines in a fresh new design and has been equipped with innovative technology. On around 1,900 m² on the first floor, advice for private and corporate customers now takes place in an elegant yet discreet feel-good atmosphere that appeals to discerning customers.
The first floor was extensively remodeled for around six months. Commerzbank's own team of architects adapted the floor plan in line with the requirements of a modern working environment, with ceilings and walls being renewed. Hard-wearing vinyl flooring now alternates with high-quality carpeting. In the reception area, customers are welcomed in a spacious reception area with a media wall, a custom-made kitchenette and lounge furniture. Wide corridors lead to the respective consultation areas and video conference rooms, which provide the necessary confidentiality despite generous glazing. Thanks to modern video conferencing technology, advisors can also get in touch "vis-a-vis" with customers who do not come to the Private Banking and Wealth Management branch in person. The renovation work was carried out during ongoing operations, with noisy work being carried out in the early hours of the morning. The customer walkway to the lockers was relocated and the customer access system for the lockers was modernized. The lighting was also converted to LED technology and the air conditioning and ventilation system was replaced.
