Paula García de Salazar combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology

Paula García de Salazar is an architect and designer. After studying architecture in Madrid and Milan, the native Spaniard moved to Munich in 2012. Here she founded her own design studio in 2023: RAIIZ. The name is based on the Spanish word "raíz", which means "root" in German. Fitting, because García de Salazar combines her own roots in her designs - her architecture studies and her love of art and design.

Paula García de Salazar has been part of the Ruffinihaus Creative Hub since 2023 - together with 35 young companies, she has moved into a studio in the Ruffinihaus in Munich's old town for two years. This is where her new collection is being created. This is based on her vision of creating special, handmade design objects that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing, but also reflect the personality of the owner. Therefore, each design can be customized in size and color. Each design is a creative game: the designer combines different materials, shapes and colors until the elements form a harmonious whole. Her objects include the Borobil table lamp made of lacquered wood. Its simple design, which focuses on rounded shapes and clear lines, is suitable for any interior style. The Triku pendant light has a harmonious silhouette made of acrylic glass. The slats are available in different colors - and can also be combined with each other in different colors if desired. Mirror Uhin is made of lacquered wood with a subtle relief embossing inspired by wave circles. Mirror Iris, named after the eponymous part of the eye, plays with color gradients. The diameter of both designs is 48 centimeters.
