17 Steinstraße
The group exhibition *Steinstraße Siebzehn* brings together works by Willi Beermann, Linus Berg, Hannah Sophie Dunkelberg, David Ostrowski, David Schiesser, Mona Schulzek and Ming Yuan
In a site-specific intervention, artistic works across various media come together, specially curated for the former Stempel Baumann site, now an off-space run by Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf at 17 Steinstraße.
Taking as its starting point the history of the site as a space of everyday use, the exhibition explores its current transformation into a space for temporary artistic interventions. The works are conceived as deliberate interventions within the existing architectural fabric and engage in a dialogue with the existing structures and traces of the former commercial premises.
This experimental exhibition concept creates a space of resonance between the past and the present, as well as between practical use and artistic appropriation.
