An oasis of calm
Hotel Bayerischer Hof presents new Panorama Suite
The seventh floor of Munich's luxury hotel Bayerischer Hof has been home to a little gem since spring 2025: Panorama Suite 7 - an extraordinary one-bedroom suite whose harmonious design conveys an atmosphere of security and serenity. It comprises a bedroom, a dressing room and a spacious living room with a bar and an integrated kitchen. The 2.7 meter long dining table from the 18th century, made of elm wood from France, is complemented by a 19th century maple wood bench from Italy. A special highlight is the loggia, which invites you to end the evening under the Munich sky.
The suite can be extended into a two- or three-bedroom suite for additional comfort, giving it a total area of 170 square meters. An additional double room was designed for this purpose, which can be connected to the suite, as well as a single room with a characteristic alcove bed. Anyone familiar with the Hotel Bayerischer Hof will immediately recognize who designed this extraordinary Panorama Suite 7: Axel Vervoordt, one of the world's most renowned interior designers and a passionate art and antiques dealer, who has hereby realized the ninth construction project for the hotel. The now legendary Belgian is known for his philosophy of creating spaces that feel as if they have always existed. His unmistakable style is characterized by authenticity and a timeless aesthetic. His works are characterized by natural materials, historical elements and a calm, balanced design. For the suite, he has opted for natural colors and materials. Warm earth tones, an 18th-century oak floor, seating upholstered in hand-dyed 19th-century linen and numerous pieces of walnut furniture reflect Vervoordt's unmistakable style. A 3.2 meter long sofa with grey upholstery invites you to linger. Lamps and vases from Axel Vervoordt's workshops in Gravenwezel lend the suite a special signature, including lamps made of oak wood and Japanese paper. The elegant fabrics are always personally selected by May Vervoordt, his wife, and make a decisive contribution to the unique atmosphere of the new suite.
With the Panorama Suite 7, the Hotel Bayerischer Hof continues the success story of one of the most important design collaborations of recent years and once again sets an example of stylish exclusivity. Munich-based interior designer Gregor Baur was once again commissioned with the project management and local planning. Thanks to his many years of experience and his flair for architectural subtleties, he has once again harmoniously integrated the vision of Axel Vervoordt and hotel manager Innegrit Volkhardt into the existing structures of the historic building. The collaboration between the Hotel Bayerischer Hof and Axel Vervoordt continues. Work is already underway on another construction project at the hotel. The lobby will also shine in new splendor in 2026 - the first construction phases have already begun.
