"Efficient Buildings 2024" conference on climate neutrality in the building sector
ZEBAU - Zentrum für Energie, Bauen, Architektur und Umwelt GmbH invites you to the "Efficient Buildings 2024" conference in Hamburg on September 16, 2024. National and regional strategic approaches for a sustainable and energy-efficient building stock by 2045 will be presented at the Freie Akademie der Künste. Projects from the fields of sustainable site development, monument protection and timber construction will be used to illustrate and discuss the potential of specific solutions.
In the opening lecture, Christian Stolte from the German Energy Agency (dena) will take a look at the regulatory framework in Germany and outline what the political plans mean for the building sector up to 2030. This will be followed by presentations on the current status of Hamburg's heat planning, recyclable design and construction with wood and the joint project "CO₂-neutral World Heritage Speicherstadt Hamburg". Other focal points include the life cycle assessment of buildings and building with sustainable raw materials and materials. The
conference will end with a closing discussion with Hamburg's Senator for the Environment Jens Kerstan.
The conference will be supplemented by an online in-depth seminar on September 26, 2024 with a focus on circular construction. In the seminar, Ludger Dederich from the Rottenburg University of Applied Forest Sciences (HFR), among others, will present current possibilities for circular construction with modern timber construction solutions.
