The ArchitekturPreis Berlin, which is aimed at architects and their clients, is awarded every three years for exemplary architectural buildings and open spaces whose architectural quality, creative power and technical innovation are committed to the sustainable design of Berlin as an urban living space.

The 12th ArchitekturPreis Berlin is under the patronage of the Senator for Urban Development, Building and Housing and is awarded to buildings completed in the state of Berlin from January 2020. With a total of 86 projects submitted, the ArchitekturPreis Berlin 2023 once again reflects the entire spectrum of architectural creativity in the capital.

A jury appointed from outside Berlin, consisting of three architects and two personalities from the wider cultural sector, will select the winner from all entries in June 2023 and award further special prizes and awards.

The jury of the ArchitekturPreis Berlin 2023 will award prize money totaling 13,000 euros. In addition to the prizes awarded by the expert jury, the Architekturpreis Berlin e.V. is once again offering an audience award. Among other things, the general Berlin public will be invited to vote online until August 28, 2023 to determine the winner of the Audience Award for the ArchitekturPreis Berlin 2023 from the 86 projects submitted, and the project that receives the most votes will be awarded the Audience Award.
