How can architecture promote social interaction? What models for communal living in old age are possible? As part of the finissage with discussion of the exhibition "Aging Together - Architectural Approaches for the Elderly", the following discussed together:
Jan Garde (Founder of The Embassies). The Embassies is a new residential project in Hamburg for Senior Living and Ambassador Club. It is a global premium club model with private serviced apartments. With a focus on social interaction and cultural offerings, members receive exclusive access to curated events. The co-working spaces, cross-generational mentoring programs, community lounges and longevity and wellbeing areas offer the community an inspiring environment. Other discussion partners were: Lievens Halewijn (NU architectuuratelier), Hille Krause (kbnk Architekten) and Andrea Soyka (steg Hamburg).

The exhibition "Aging Together - Architectural Approaches for the Elderly" showcased designs that promote communal living for older people and address the growing need for spaces that encourage social interaction, mutual support and shared responsibility. The exhibition invited reflection on how architecture can enable dignified, independent and connected living in old age and presented community-oriented living as a vibrant alternative to traditional elderly care.
